Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Loop mobile application and related services operated with Synergy (“Loop”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Loop, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Loop is

Loop is a vetted alumni platform for educational institutes. Core features (directory, events, marketplace, and similar community tools) require verified membership in an institute / batch. Loop is not a general-purpose social network and does not provide in-app direct messaging as a core product.

2. Eligibility & accounts

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and devices.
  • Membership in an institute or batch may require approval by a Captain or authorized operator. Approval may be denied or revoked for legitimate community or safety reasons.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your alumni affiliation
  • Harass, scam, or harm other members or institutes
  • Scrape, crawl, or republish member data outside permitted product use
  • Attempt to bypass verification, payments, or security controls
  • Use Loop for unlawful activity

4. Events, marketplace & payments

Ticket purchases, merchandise orders, and donations may be processed through third-party payment providers. Prices, refund rules, and fulfillment details for a specific event or product are shown in-app at purchase time and may be set by the organizing institute or operator.

5. Community features

Blood-bank and donation features are coordination tools for alumni communities. Loop does not provide medical advice and does not guarantee fulfillment of any request.

6. Intellectual property

Loop’s software, branding, and content (excluding user-provided profile content and institute materials they supply) are owned by Loop / Synergy or its licensors. You retain rights to content you submit, and grant us a license to host and display it as needed to operate the service.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Loop is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy of member-provided information, and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability arising from these Terms or your use of Loop is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to Loop for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50 (or local equivalent), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, security risk, or legal requirements. You may stop using Loop and request deletion of your account at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Material changes will update the effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
